The most popular destination is Abetone, in the province of Pistoia in northern Tuscany, just across the border with Emilia Romagna.
Abetone has four valleys, Val di Luce, Val Scoltenna, Sestaione and Lima, and it’s probably one of the largest ski resorts in the Appenine Mountains.
